New to this so bear with me! I've got a 1969 very original 1500 VW Beetle. Been stored last 5 years, got it's M.O.T. last October. Tyres need changing. Currently has 155 15's but having trouble finding replacements. Mega expensive - something like £150 each I've been quoted??!! Have just been advised all four can be changed to 165 15's at considerably reduced cost. Can anyone advise whether this is a satisfactory option? I know I find it an attractive proposition as it's a much cheaper option. I know it's about 2mm greater in size, will it affect odometer reading that much? Do/have other Beetle owners changed their tyre sizes too? Thanks

that would be no problem. you wouldn't notice it on the odometer and it wouldnt feel different.

Surprising that it is coming back so expensive though!
