I have just bought a 1967 1200 beetle, which is extremely rotten but hopefully saveable! there is also a 1303 superbeetle in the same scrapyard i got mine from, in kings lynn, which seems not to need any welding if anyone wants it! The plan is to strip it completely (which i've almost done), repair all the rusty bits, and then paint it two-tone with the original dark blue and the top half light blue. I would appreciate all comments as to the extent of the rot..it needs in addition to the pictures, two front inner wing repair panels, a patch on the floorpan, and heater channels both sides.
